About the club
Baiypolhi Sports Club
Baiypolhi Sports Club is a community NGO on B. Kihaadhoo, Maldives, growing youth sport, healthy lifestyles and a cleaner island.

Our story
Baiypolhi Sports Club began in 2016 with a handful of friends, one borrowed football and an evening game on the beach. Within a year the evening game had become a weekly fixture, and the friends had become a committee.
We took our name from Baiypolhi, a place every islander knows, and our colours from the island itself: the gold of woven palm, the blue of the lagoon. Today BSC runs youth football, women's volleyball, the Island Run and monthly clean-ups — all led by volunteers.
We're proud of Kihaadhoo's craft heritage, and we see the same thing on the pitch: many strands, woven tightly, are stronger than one.
Our objectives
Island sport, island pride.
- 01
Create sporting and recreational opportunities for the people of Kihaadhoo and build a healthy, disciplined community.
- 02
Encourage young people to take part in sport and develop their talents, and support the development of sport on the island.
- 03
Organise sports activities and events in partnership with national sports bodies and other organisations in the Maldives.
